I love Laken and her team! Honestly if you sign up and just copy what they are doing and posting on social media (seriuosly, she’ll let you copy her instagram posts but you still should do your own live videos) you will make good money! Been with her for 4 months and she helped me understand their confusing commission structure.

  6. When becoming a Distributor how do the customers get their product? Do they order and it’s sent directly to them or would I have to do all orders then ship to them?

    Reply
    • Great question. You can do both (confusing I know!). Distributors still want to order 750 PV a month to qualify for a car and ‘group sales bonus’. So after you have ordered that much you can switch it to ‘autofill’ where Senegence then fulfills your orders. This is if you have a Senesite. If you don’t pay for a Senesite (which you don’t have to and it may be easier to keep track of) then you can just invoice the people you sell to via Paypal or Venmo and then they pay and you ship it. You can ship all Lipsense via first class for $2-3 / package.

  9. Hi Laken.
What is 750 PV per month and what kind of car and group sales bonuses do they have?

    Reply
    • Easiest way to remember it is that assuming you are hitting 750PV a month (where you get the 50% discount) then $1=1PV. If you can’t hit this tier, no matter what you get 20% off their retail for being a distributor and then the percentage goes higher. You can then sale it for $1200-1500 in retail. There is a cap of 50% off Senegence products at 750PV, that is why it’s important to try to hit that number. It resets each month. Car sales bonus happens when your team has 3 consecutive months of 22,000+PV and you have to do 750PV personal.

I’m very interested in becoming a distributor. I love in a small town in Oregon. Do you have distributors under you who lives in Medford, OR that I can take personally as a mentor on a face to face basis? I plan to do this part time but I want to make sure I carry enough inventory to service my costumers in a quick manner. How much initial inventory should I invest?

    • You should start out with 3 to 5 starter kits available for sale. Then have 2 kits plus a few extra colors available for demo. Once you put the Lipsense on girls, they will love it and want to buy it! Then from there you can purchase more depending on how quickly you are selling out. You don’t have to go ‘all-in’ when starting but I do recommend about 7-10 total starter kits in all. Looking forward to working with you!

  11. I’m possibly interested in becoming a distributor, wondering what the minimum selling amount is to remain active and not drop off??

    Reply
    • Hey Terri – very minimal. Every 6 months you need to have 100PV which is around $120 in product. Once you start selling it most hit the 750PV monthly volume which is where you get 50% off retail of any Senegence items. Unlike most other network marketing companies, you are not forced to order big amounts of product every month to remain active.

    • I would like the answer to this also. What is included in the $55 startup fee?

      Reply
      • DVD, marketing materials, product information books, the distributor pay methods and information about all of Senegence. It’s required when signing up, so it’s nice that anything comes at all! Comes in a nice little box and gets there 2-3 days after signing as a ‘Sponsor’.

  12. Went to sign up and it appears that everything is sold out?

    Reply
    • Hey Heather.,
You can still sign up! Because Lipsense is growing so quickly they just put that as a disclosure that a lot of their products are currently sold out. When they come back in stock their servers are flooded with distributors buying! This should all be worked out in the next 3-6 weeks as they now have new warehouses pumping their own product. They have had to learn how to adjust to the viralness of the product! Click the ‘X’ on that and continue with signing up. See you on the inside.

    • $55 for the membership and then you will want a 1 starter kit and 2-3 colors for demo use and then just sell on demand from there! Meaning, take orders and then buy from Senegence and fulfill. This will help you be profitable and not have to buy bulk inventory upfront. Also, once you start letting girls use it and fall in love with it, get them signed up under you! This is where the magic starts happening revenue wise.

I’m interested in getting more information on being a consultant. If I want to take this slow what would the commission be and least amount to invest in and least amount needed to stay active. And is there a fee to make a wrbsite monthly? What hidden fees.

    Reply
    • If you want a ‘Senesite’ (Where people can buy Lipsense and Senegence products from your site directly) it is around $50 a month or less if you purchase quarterly / annually. Senegence does not allow you to make your own eCommerce site and list the products for sale (trust me, I did it and then compliance told me I need to turn it off). Several distributors still do this but they too will get a warning at some future point. You can always sell it through Venmo and Paypal invoices and ship it out yourself that way.

Look forward to seeing you on this inside!

    • Depending on how much you order, its 30-50% off ‘retail’. So starter kit you would sell for $55, you can get for $25-35. 3 colors for $12.50-16/ea that can be sold for $25. Or if you are using them to grow your business, that is around $100 as a business expense.

    Reply
    • Get more colors by ordering from Senegence via your account they assign you when get signed up. Each color has attached ‘PV’ (point value) to it and you get a higher percent off the more you order each month. Girls who really want to treat this like a business and go after it spend around $500-750/mo (which you can re-sell for $1000-1500 total) which is 750/pv. If you get orders from your Senesite that PV goes towards this total. This gives the full 50% off Lipsense that way. It can be confusing at first but once you are added to our FB groups and read about it, it will all start to click ;).

Laken – I had a Sponsor told me that PV is actually 50% of retail cost, therefore 750 PV will be $750, not $300. I was also told that they are expecting the OOS situation to IMPROVE, but not be resolved until closer to October. Is this not true?

        Reply
        • Hi Kathleen.,

You are right! I have updated my previous comment to reflect this. Regarding the OOS – there are 4-5 colors that are regularly in stock right now. They are going to focus on these popular colors and keep quantity high during the sales peak volume. Once they have this down they will continue to add colors in batches of 5 or more. This past month (May) has been my downline’s biggest MTD with ordering so that is a good sign that is coming in more frequently!

Compare this to several hundred dollars for starting in other network marketing companies. $55 to start making potentially thousands isn’t a bad cost ;).

  39. Hi! I am interested in becoming a Distributer. I wanted to know if the company allows marketing in different venues and social media. Would I be able to set up an Instagram for followers to promote the product?

    Reply
    • Absolutely!! Social Media is what made this product go viral! I push it on Facebook, Instagram and this blog. Others have success on Pinterest and live sessions. The more you push the more interest and sales you will get. There are marketing guidelines to follow but nothing too strict. You can’t have your own eCommerce store (I learned that the trial and error way getting a warning from Senegence personally). I then made a ‘Senesite’ that I pay for annually where you can purchase Lipsense online.

  40. I really was trying to figure out why there is a difference in profit ranging from 20 to 50 percent? Thanks.

    Reply
    • It’s based on your monthly PV. They will give you more of a discount the more you order which in turn helps you make more profit when selling it. If you order $100-200 in product, for example, you will be paying around $18-20 per Lipsense color tube. If you order $500-700 in Senegence product (not just Lipsense mind you but ANY Senegence products) then you would get Lipsense for $12.50/color (50% off) which then lets you sale it for whatever you want (although most common is a 100% markup so $25 +tax).

Hope that helps. Once you are in the 3 exclusive FB groups I can add you to and get the marketing material from Senegence things will start to make more sense quickly.

But not really up on groups, messaging and all that stuff on FB. Although I can certainly can see how much easier it would be build your business. I am still trying to decide if I can learn how to do business through social media. And certainly don’t want to be run ragged doing it the “old” way. Your response to questions has been very helpful. Reply
    • Hi Kitty!

Well, the ‘old’ way is still great. Because this product sells itself, it’s a matter of getting it on more lips and people’s skin! Demo parties are a great way to do it, where you can offer free colors to sample and then they always end up buying a tube or two (and then later joining your team). Start out with the old way hustle and you will pick up on the new ways as you do this. If you have any social media (personal) already, then just do simple posts about it and that you offer it for sale now.

The stock has been MUCH better and should only keep getting better. It has been frustrating for many including me and the team but those who are working through it and selling their skin products and makeup are doing great.

Hi–I’ve read through majority of all these comments trying to get an idea of how this works. I have recently just used Lipsense and OMG! It’s amazing! I live in a state that its not quite up there like Younique, Avon, Mary Kay, etc. It’s been heard of but not really tried… So i’m super interested in possibly starting this. I have a fulltime job and family–time is important to me, especially with my family. I’ve tired direct sales before and they bombed, horribly. So I am quite hesistant. I’m just looking for some extra income not a 2nd job–if that makes sense. So, my questions are mainly for clarification… the joining fee is $55, then you purchase your starter kit for about $55 and possibly 2-3 colors if you want as testers or to keep on hand to sell, to maintain your status must have 100PV pts per 6months, and to sell you can either have them purchase thru you or shop online through your Sensite online if you pay monthly fee? Correct? And my biggest concern is 100PV points–those vary with each direct sales companies–how much is actually 100PV, like 5-6 lipsense average?! Thank you for your time!

    Reply
    • Amanda – you couldn’t have said it more perfectly :). Also, I tried direct sales with a few other companies and had a bad taste in my mouth from it. I like Lipsense cause it sells itself just by wearing it around town. All your questions are right on point. Look forward to having you!
